A family farm in Athens, Wisconsin has been tapping maple trees for more than 75 years. Wisconsin is currently the number four maple syrup producing state in the nation. Climate change could have a significant impact on maple syrup production. Last year was the worst maple syrup season farmers have ever had because of the quick spring warm-up.
